Cube Smart in Sugarland has been a good experience The staff there are amazing to work with. Tiffany has helped me in so many ways during my storage experience from finding rental truck to searching for piano services It’s the personal kindness and understanding at this facility that has made a difference. If cooperate would not have raised my rental fees by 35.00 after 4 months I would remain there but that’s a big jump in monthly price for me to adjust in budget, but now I know that’s the nature of game for the storage industry .

CubeSmart is greedy. In the 3 years I was there, my rate went up nearly $100 for a 10x10 OUTSIDE storage. When I left I was paying over $200. I found a 10x15 down the road for way cheaper with security. The people in the office, the regular employees, have always been nothing but good to us though, 10/10 for them. This review is solely on the absolute greed of the company. My dad and I both had storage units there and we both just moved out over the ridiculous rates. We will NEVER do business with CubeSmart again.

Worst experience ever. Signed up on line with a free month free promotion. Confirmed my reservation on line and the total for the first month was 61.34. Five minutes later I received a email receipt for 458.00 dollars. These guys overcharged my account by almost 400.00. Called all day to have this matter resolved, spoke with four different employees and each Confirmed that it was a mistake on the companies behalf. Finally told by the store manager ( Makenzie @ the Sugarland site off hwy 6) that she would speak to her district manager in the morning. Called the next morning and she told me she had sent him an email and didn't know when the matter would be resolved. Said it take days after initially telling me it would just 10 seconds to refund the balance from the error. I called and left a message with the district manager Whit Ford and of course received no response. I'll never do business with this company and I recommend anyone interested in doing so think twice about doing so.

If I could give 0 star I would definitely give. You can’t even use the space that you have paid. They don’t let us in, because we work hard for our business and we used it 7/24 by their permission. And our business is not running anymore just because we can’t get the items that we need. They steal our money, they made our business slow and not running. Don’t come and lease from here if you are smart enough to not get scammed. Completely unsatisfied and disappointed about their service.

I really thought renting a storage unit is a very un personable experience but with Jodi in the equation, you feel like CudeSmart is an extension of your home or office and Jodi I’d part of your team. Today, I was moving the last bit of my boxes from my nonprofit organization ChildBuilders to the storage unit and my car battery died. Dear Jodi emptied her entire trunk to find her jumper cable and gave me a jump start. She even explained to me how she did. Because of her I was able to make it to my son’s pediatrician on time. David's customer service was very good. However, mandatory 1 month Cubesmart insurance (when we have USAA coverage readily available), and we're made to buy an identical lock to the one we already owned (albeit theirs had "CubeSmart" metal stamped on the front) was inappropriate. Way to milk those margins! And it's not a corporate policy. We called and asked. Its the General Managers call.

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received upon moving and closing my unit. I was a CubeSmart customer for years. When we moved, we needed to move out of our storage units. We went into the office and personally told the employee that we would be moving and would not be in our units for the next billing cycle. We did exactly what we said we would do. I hired 2 young men to move things out of our units the weekend before the end of our payment cycle. Imagine my surprise when a week later I was automatically charged for one unit. I called and spoke with an employee who said that he never received notification that we were moving. Not sure what to say about that... other than, I’m not a liar. The employee said that he would “check on it.” When I called a week later, I was told that he checked the unit that Friday and I still had things in the unit. Guess how he checked? The lock was off. Guess why? Because we were in the process of moving out. We had everything removed by Saturday. Did the 2 men I hired go into the office and tell them we moved? No. Why should they? We are living in COVID times. They did the job they were paid to do. I was basically called a liar again. I was moved out when I was supposed to be. Corporate CubeSmart knew that I was moving out because on the Thursday following my “move out Friday/Saturday, they sent a survey asking me to tell them about my experience with CubeSmart. I tried to make a complaint and/or receive help on the corporate website, but the email response won’t send... hmm

My initial point of contact with CubeSmart First Colony was pleasant. The process was smooth and easy. Later that night, I returned with a truck full of belongings to move into my unit. Unfortunately, the gate was broken. I spoke with someone in customer service, whom contacted the MOD. An hour and five minutes later, I finally got in the gate. The manager arrived on property at 9:40 pm and told me that the gate closed at 10 pm...With a truck full of stuff (I was alone), I wasn't sure how I'd get it done within 20 minutes. The manager then offered to stick around for 10 extra minutes, but stated that was all he could do...Now grant it, I magically got it all done in 20 minutes; however, I thought it was somewhat poor customer service because I had already waited over an hour to get into the gate, but instead of being more accommodating, he pretty much rushed me... If it had not been for this situation, I'd give this location a higher rating.

I storage my stuff here for 6 months to only to realize that their unit is infested with red fire ants. All my kids clothes my wife's clothes are covered in fire ants. They told me we don't cover fire ants! They never even offer to dry clean my clothes and wash. Then when I took my stuff out of that unit to clean and dry clean i left some boxes outside the unit to come back and clean that to cuz I had no more room in the car so I left it n tried to contact them to tell them not to touch myself nobody answer. Then they contact me and told me we throw everything in dumpster and ruin even my kids clothes even more. Please do not come here

Was Texas-hot outside on my move-in day, so the manager handed me a water bottle and even took some to my buddies that were moving stuff as I was finishing up with paperwork.
