Let me be clear. I have never experienced a better customer service than the one Donyelle provided. She cleared up some confusion, explained procedures, and available services at this location. Compared from the other location we went to. Due to my mother and I having troubles and a hard time deciding. Ms Donyelle took her time to show us the available units multiple times, and practiced extreme patience. We highly recommend this employee to anyone. I’d say with her vast knowledge to seek her out if in need of more information, and or if you have questions.

Top notch premier customer service!! I needed a storage unit asap. I went to Cube Smart Self Storage on my lunch break. I came in and met Kat. I explained to her I was in a hurry. I had to see the unit 1st, pay for the unit 2nd and then 3rd unload my belongings from my car into the unit and be back at work in 45mins. Kat sprung into action!! Kat explained everything to me as we were going to view the unit. We came back to the desk and I signed and paid all in 5mins. I have 30yrs of being a customer service manager. Kat provided more than just customer service. She is very professional and accommodating. She has a likeable demeanor about herself. 5 stars for Chris. He is great - very helpful and professional. If he ever leaves they are going to have a hard time replacing him. 2 stars for Cubesmart because they got rid of their moving truck, and raise prices on you after a few months. Storage West wouldn't raise prices for an entire year. Another problem is when you reserve online there is no option to mark that you have a lock or insurance - so you end up getting charged for that, even if you don't need it.

Updated Feb 2025: Good, clean space but I had 4 price increases in 2 years! From $45 to $72 for a 5ft x 7ft space. The same space rents for $45 right now online. Good for short term only. I feel like loyalty should be rewarded not exploited. 2yrs ago.....I had a great experience renting my storage space at CubeSmart at Hwy 249! The process was so easy and convenient. The pricing was perfect for my budget. I appreciate the fact I buy the lock once instead of being charged a monthly fee for lock rental like the other guys. Their location is perfect for me and the facility is super clean.

They raised their monthly charge from $32. To 72 just overnight. I was in the hospital and was late a few days on my payment and so they charged me $97. They wouldn't take a payment over the phone I had to go into the storage place or send a check. Would never use this storage place again.

I needed immediate storage for our upcoming move. I googled storage near me. Cube Smart @ 24455 Highway 249 popped up. I clicked their link. The website is understandable and easy to use. I was able to reserve for free online. Immediately, I received a call from them. The caller identification read a number from Illinois which was strange, but I answered it and it was Cube Smart. I decided to visit the same day. I had the pleasure of meeting the friendly, knowledgeable and personable dynamic duo of Dawn and Shawn. They went over my choice that I made online. They also informed me of options that were available to insure my contents. They escorted me to my unit and gave me a tutorial on using the cylinder lock. Most importantly, they informed me of the hours of operation so that I am not locked in. I really enjoyed this process with Dawn and Shawn and you will too.

After Chris twisted my arms around demanding for me to finally review the place, sheesh, here I am. (and don't get him started on talking about Rammstein, hehe). All kidding aside, I'm glad I found this place! I love the security feature with the amount of times you have to use your code on different keypads to use doors and the elevator (and gates). The only negatives I've had as well as have are ... Once I got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes forgetting that I had to use my code to get it to go up, oops. And then two, they are closed on Sundays (and you can't rent their "free" ($110) truck on Sundays, which seems to be the only day people are available to help load and unload a truck. (A third negative would be the "free" (you have to pay a credit fee and a cash fee to use the) truck.) But I'm glad I found this place, thank you Chris (I haven't met Dawn yet) for being friendly and always laughing at the stuff I say. :)

This is one of the most convenient and well managed storage facilities I’ve ever used/came across!!! The team is always so helpful with everything and Chris at the front desk was great with helping find the unit I needed for my needs!

Received excellent service for over a year while my items were in storage. Immuculate and very reasonably priced. Great place to keep your items in storage! My items were inside, no worries about rodents and such! I used several 3 storage places over a 20+ years while relocating. This by far was the best storage facility!!! I commend Storage West and staff!!

The units are clean but had several issues with entry and exit times. Wasn’t aware that when you are in before 7pm that the gates are locked and you can’t get out. So if you get there at 6:30 you better be out of the gates by 6:59 or you have to call to get an emergency code to get out. If you are paying money and they have gates then it is crazy that you can’t access your belongings at any time. I also called corporate because the code was denying access and was told they couldn’t give me any information because the rental was in my husbands name and they didn’t put them in joint names?!? You should have an authorization form for whomever is allowed to discuss unit. That is insulting to the other spouse when they are calling about the unit. I was also unaware that if you leave early they do not pro rate refund. I highly recommend shopping around for storage if you want to access your belongings after 7pm.

I was told I could call ahead and extend the hours if I needed. Today I called and customer service told me they couldn’t extend the hours if the office was closed. And, if I was on the property after 7pm I’d be locked in! They have no way of contacting a manager or helping me!! Unfortunately I was never told that or I would’ve called yesterday!!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was fighting traffic to get there, and they stayed late AND had great attitudes. I would recommend them to anyone. The policy of letting new renters use a free box truck to move in was a God send. A cut above the rest!!!

If you are looking for a storage unit this is it! Great location off 249 and excellent customer service. Building is clean and safe! Great perks too. Dollys available at all doors and free moving truck. Henry is extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone!
