Everything was fine until the water main broke and then they wouldn't let any of us into our storage units for at least a month and then when they finally did let us in we could only walk in and a lot of people had damaged unit damaged product in their units so since I am on eBay seller I wasn't able to get to the product that I sold during that time and I lost the sells. M then I couldn't pay for my unit done because I wasn't making any money because my stuff was stuck in my storage unit and I couldn't sell it so I asked CubeSmart if they were going to reimburse us for the time that we couldn't get in it and wake up giving me the runaround and never gave me a credit like they said they would so then my unit was in default and they addded an extra 120 gtwice for admimidtrative fees and they rsisrd my rent amother 20 per month. So my $60 a month unit ended up having a bill at 550 for the 3 months after we were locked out for a month because of the water main break so I lost my storage in an auction 3 days ago and I never did get the credit I was told I would get so I definitely do not recommend

Place is absolutely horrible. They (the owner) parks their SUVs in the parking lot so there’s absolutely no parking. There’s one entrance (that was blocked off for several months due to a faulty water main, I put some of the blame on Murray City but still…FIND A WAY FOR US TO ACCESS OUR BELINGINGS) Now my key breaks to my cube smart lock…at 4PM which oneself would think it would be open then…nope it’s not. After all this, they’re still bumping up rent. What a joke.

The price of my storage unit has been increased 3 times since I started using this business less than a year ago. On top of that we have been locked out of the facility for 2 months due to construction they need to perform after a sinkhole on the property. It is really easy to find a cheaper storage unit so after the third price increase I’d like to move to a different facility but GUESS WHAT I can’t get my stuff because I have no access to my own unit. The final price increase was predatory because I can’t actually take my business elsewhere until they finish renovations, which may be the reason that they’re dragging it out for so long.

I would not recommend this company. They’ve had me locked out of my storage unit for nearly two months due to a water issue. As a property manager, I handle water breaks and various emergencies, so I know repairs don’t take this long. This situation has caused significant inconvenience in my life, and despite countless attempts, I can’t get anyone on the phone for a clear update. Meanwhile, they still expect payment. I’m beyond frustrated with how poorly this has been handled. Horrible service.

The storage has been under construction for 2 months with zero access into the facility due to a sink hole. They sent an email saying they were selling my belongings unless I paid in full in person. Yet still have zero access to my storage. They have been rude and when I finally reached someone on the phone instead of offering any communication about what is going on I get told they won't give me corporates number and then hang up on me. Me and both my parents have a storage with them and we will be moving our things and never using cube smart again. We've been patient over the last 2 months to be treated rudely and not even offered any communication about what is going on with our belongings we weren't allowed to access the last 2 months. Your representatives at this location are horrible and we will be going to corporate about this.

This location had a water main break over a month ago and since then has denied access to anyone with a unit. They are literally holding our property hostage and we can’t do anything about it. I’ve called, emailed, you name it, and not a single person has tried to help resolve the issue. They have recently said they will allow walk-in access only and during business hours only. Yesterday, I went there during business hours and was DENIED access. And again, there is no one to email or call to get resolution. I can’t wait to move my stuff out of here. Whatever you do, don’t rent a unit here!!!

This place has had a flood and has been holding our items with no way for us to get it out. Then on top of that they want to increase the monthly rent by nearly $50 and has offered no prorating or forgiveness on the rent despite not being able to access your things. They tell you, that you have “pedestrian access.” That’s not very helpful when the whole front is fenced off & you wouldn’t be able to move any of your things out. This is the biggest joke of a storage unit I’ve ever experienced.

About CubeSmart well my storage was over $400 behind and was due to be auctioned I had gotten all the money except $3 they wouldn't even work with me on $3 they insisted on having every dime or they were going to auction my unit of so as far as rating the only reason they don't get zero Stars is because you have to at least give them one the management is unfriendly they cut my locks off my unit and I have to replace it out of my own pocket after paying to buy them the first time they cut them off and they're not supposed to be cut off until the unit is actually auctioned they made it almost impossible for me to pay my storage it seemed as though the closer to the auction got the harder it was to pay my bill so yeah I would say very fishy so my rating is a one-star zero and if I were you I would think twice about opening up a storage here

UPDATE: was NEVER called back after so many calls ( they never once answered the phone)the DM wouldn’t call me back and was never refunded. Horrifying. They knew I was in a nursing home. They knew my husband was missing until he was found in a hospital, yet they never refunded me If you’d like a great storage ( I’ve had one there myself for almost 2 years now) try Extra Space Storage. They are wonderful! ***UPDATE: These people emailed me saying ( both the District Manager and the store itself) that I would get a refund. Unfortunately someone committed fraud on my debit card and it was shut down. They had an old address on file and said they would send it there. I responded immediately telling them that I was in a care facility / nursing home and that that place was my current residence. I have not heard from them since. I’ve called the District manager and the store. They never answer. Both my husband and I have called. No call backs. This has been a total nightmare at a time when I’m already stressed and have now just gotten out of the care facility and am trying to live in my own with very limited mobility and have to deal with the stress of this. I have emails saying I will get a refund so I’m just going to have to press forward with dealing with this with my bank. Please do yourself a favor, don’t rent from these people. I have a storage somewhere else I’ve had for over a year and they’ve been great. My husband has a storage facility somewhere else as well and they’ve been great as well. I’ve had a lot of storages through the years and have NEVER encountered this kind of just neglect. I hate having to take it to the next step because I believe in working with people, but when they won’t answer the phone, emails or even call back? That’s just plain dishonesty. They know I’m disabled and are probably betting the farm that I won’t do anything. We will see. *****. Do not rent from these people. They do not return phone calls or even answer the phone, at least not for me. I rented this storage with my ID, signed the contract, used my contact info and paid for the storage from my account, but they told me the storage was in my husbands name? How does that happen? So my husband was extremely sick. He fell asleep, accidentally, and they terminated the contract. Pretty close to when I just paid for it. So they terminated it. This threw my husband into a state where he was about to lose everything. So he disappeared. I had to file a missing persons report. Meanwhile, these guys are not answering the phone at the faculty, or returning my calls. Customer service told me all they could do was escalate it and told me to wait up to 3 business days for a call back. The call never came. So I called again, again I was told they would escalate it higher. No call came. I got an email from a District Manager asking what was up. I explained. He gave me his number and told me to call him. Of course, no answer. So I’m panicking. My husband is missing , I don’t have the money to move a storage and the kicker is I’m in a care facility/ nursing home in a wheelchair. Can you imagine the helplessness I felt and the total cruelty of this company who knew all of this and just wouldn’t get back to me? Eventually I talked to someone at the facility who said I had a few more days to get his things out. The District Manager eventually called and told me I would get a refund once he was moved out. This was hell on earth. So my husband has been moved out since April 4. No refund has occurred, no call back from the District Manager. The person who moved the storage even cleaned it beautifully afterwards ( I have pictures). I cannot believe what kind of people run a storage like this??? I’m hoping I see a partial refund. If not, I’m disputing the whole charge based on everything they put me, myself and the people who moved him. BTW, my husband eventually called me from a psychiatric hospital where he was for some time. So so sad. I’ve had a lot of storages over the years, but nothing like this. I truly hope they do me right and refund what they owe.

I showed up to the storage unit to move in gate was closed and the manager said they weren't going to be back until 3:00 which was like an hour and a half away. I had people there to help me that had to leave by 3:00. Thankfully your customer service department walked me through the steps so that I could get in and figure out which unit was mine. Then I find out that there is a lock on my storage unit. So I had to call customer service again. This information should have been disclosed to me from the beginning. Then I get inside the unit and discover a lock. So the folks that were with me said maybe I have to use their luck even though I had my own lock. Yeah the whole ordeal was a little confusing to say the least. So now I imagine I'm going to be charged for that lock when I already had my own lock. So I suggest that you give people a heads up on what to expect in the future so I put the old lock back on because I didn't know what else to do with it and I used the new lock.

I used CubeMart Self Storage many years ago. Just so happened we needed some extra storage space and they are close by. The associate was really friendly and helpful. He took the time to show me a unit and answered all my questions. He even offered to look at other options that CubeSmart had in other parts of the valley. I got one of the last available units near my house. Good experience and I would recommend them to a friend.

Customer service was awful and prices kept going up. After my storage shed got burnt down due to criminal activity happening in the storage shed next to mine, I was forced to pay another month of rent despite all of my belongings being burnt to a ruin. Being a full time student who works full time and lived almost an hour away from my unit, it was hard to find the time to drive out there to clear out my ruined belongings and when i came I had no help. I was shocked that they had told me that I’d have to pay another month to throw clear out my belongings. I had paid every month on time or even before time, despite the multiple times they had increased the prices but when I had asked to not be charged just so i could throw away my burnt belongings, they would not work with me. Very disappointed with how they handled such a tragedy.

But when I go to pay all sudden, they say it’s something completely different. Some plus things is that they try to keep up on security.

The manager was very responsive and even took it upon herself to sweep out my unit before moving in. Then it became after hours and I got a dud lock. The manager was happily still available for me to buy a new lock. Overall the process was easy. My favorite part was that I could use the CubeStorage app to open the main gate instead of punching in a code every time.

A friendly place that doesn't require a deposit for storing stuff short-term, but if you want more long-term storage, it's cheaper to go with a place that charges more upfront. Also, make sure to always pay the rent, or your door will be immediately locked, and your stuff eventually sold.

They were nice at first. Cheap and reasonable size for $60 a month then 3 months after all they decided to raise the price to $80 then a year later another raised to $95. I paid include the insurance $12 per month and they are a joke. My brand new vacuum $300 was stolen since the first months of renting and we have been in contact with their insurance team for the whole year and every time that we called they always told us in was under investigation and left hand don'tknow what the right hand doing like they are playing game with us (the storage themselves would not do anything because they said it part of the insurance company) now 14 months later we still haven't got our money refunded back and we couldn't even contact the insurance team anymore. They are a joke although Jenna is nice and sweet. Hoping they the storage team will taking action on this. I'm beyond disappointed with them

Midsized storage unit. Had trouble with a 26 foot box truck. Turn around not good at all. Snow removal piled away from outer wall. Water drainage very poor. Management if on was nowhere be seen. One manager I ask if I could get snow shovel from them, cause the water did not drain in front of the unit. At least 6 to 8 inch deep of water. Had to run to Wal-Mart to get pallets to walk on. Me personal I would steer clear of this one site.

I checked out the day before my month lease was up and they still ended up billing me over $350 for the next month.Even though i went through the whole process of checking out of my lease. It took hours to finally get ahold of someone to help me, and when i finally did she promised me i would get my money returned that same day and have yet been reimbursed. This place put a huge inconvenience on my financial situation. I dont suggest ever using them.

I'm giving the 5 Stars to the office located on 900 East approx 4700 South salt lake city Ut. If you live in SLC. Needing some extra storage. This is the place. I've used 3 other large storage companies in the past 20 years. I would not give any one of them 2 stars. Ethically, positive attitudes, payments, agreements, service, with a smile you name it. Hands down, there just isn't any other storage company or it's employees that go out of their way like the ladies that run this office. Starting with TAMARA, (thank you for going out of your way to help me & also, for the personal chat that relieved me of my stress, the day I opened my second account) your service & empathy is the reason I'm taking a minute out to write this review . STEPHANIE has taken payment and answered questions many of times for me. She's Always pleasant & professional. Last but by far not least JENNA she's a sweet heart also, but it's her perfect professionalism that keeps it all in check. The three of them make a great team. On point with the math, you won't be over charged. As a matter of fact this is the lowest rates I've ever paid. No huge taxation if your late, no added bs fees. Security is good, No theft,... just strait up & honest. LADIES I would recommend you, to my kids. But, don't have to. Because it was my kids that recommended... You! !!! Thank you, Angela Stephens

NO consideration for long term clients. This company would rather lose a tenant than let them rent a single unit. We have been with them for over 10 years. When downsizing from 2 units to 1, we were told that we needed to move from the 1 unit to a different section. Way too difficult to make a move like that for no reason. Clearly the corporate rules are really helping their customer service!

The unit I rented is a stretch to be called a storage unit. It's more like an unlit stable with a tin door. There are lights outside the unit but due to way the unit is thrown together all light is blocked out and so the unit is very dark inside. Appears to have no planning or real thought into what it should look like. Just over priced space that does not appear very secure.

I came to cubesmart because I have had good experiences in the past. When I needed to rent a unit I looked for the closest cubesmart and reserved a space. Unfortunately I did not realize that I wasn't getting the offer I saw online until I arrived. The managers at this facility were awesome . Jenna immediately got on the phone and fixed the problem while her assistant took us around to show us what was available and let us pick the right space. Wow!!! This was a kind of not what I expected at all! You hear myths about storage Nazis and mean old lady's on golf carts coming to tell you your rents past due. It was a warm and friendly smile that I was greeted with when my husband and I walked in the door. We had a young gentleman return our phonecalls and him and his manager Jenna even stayed after closing time to help us find the perfect affordable unit for me and my family. I was in the company of family with Jenna! What a great Manager. I'm telling my friends family and as many people as possible about my experience. People deserve a compassionate welcome in most urgent storage rental needs. Booked a unit online. Arrived to sign the paperwork and was told that I had a wall in the middle of my unit. It was two smaller units next to each other, not the size I reserved online. Decided to see if i could make it work. Couldn't. The solution they offered was to upgrade to a larger unit. That's fine. Having to pay all the admin fees again...that wasnt fine. But did it anyways. Had my own lock. So that was nice. Except they welded brackets on the doors so only the locks they sold fit. Awesome.

I had to find a place to store all my belongings. I had lost my husband and then my mother got sick so I had to move in with her to take care of her. I have now lost her and trying to get things moved out so I can figure out how to move my stuff out of storage. When I first started with cubesmart I asked if I could have the payment date be on the 5th of the month. The manager told me no the date couldn't be changed but since that is when my checks come I end up paying a late fee every month. They keep increasing my rent so now I am paying over $100 a month more than when I signed up. It just keeps going up. The times I try to call to speak to someone no one ever picks up the phone. I see these lower prices online but for the customers they have currently they are gouging them. One of my first goals this year is to get my stuff out of there and be done with them. Very frustrated

Been happy here. My only complaint was a unit close to mine caught on fire. I don't blame them for it as im sure it was something stupid that was put in the storage unit. My complaint was the burnt stuff was left out for weeks following the fire blocking the drive way and causing people to have to go around. But my stuff has been safe and dry.

Happy with your facility but quite upset with your policy for insurance. I have insurance for $25k and yet I'm forced to pay your $12 insurance fee for at least the 1st month. On top of that you have an admin fee nearly twice the amount of other facilities. You were the closest facility to my home so that is why i chose you but I certainly will not recommend you to anyone else!

The location is really convenient, the facility / storage units are clean, quick response to inquiries, and most of all, Gena, the area manager, is really helpful and super friendly! And when we found that the unit we booked was too small for us, Gena quickly check the bigger unit's availability and change ours to bigger one. Thank you so much for your help!!

The staff was friendly. But the system wouldn't work properly. The most frustrating thing was when booking my reservation online it said 1st month free. So I ask when I arrive she said no problem. It is even advertised on the Marquee sign out front.turns out it didn't save on the reservation email so there is nothing they could do. I will definitely be looking for other accommodation that do what they say they will.

DO NOT RENT HERE YOU WILL BRING SO MUCH FRUSTRATION IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU DO This storage place doesn't know what's going on I called 2 days a head to get the moving truck they advertise they were even aware of my reservation for the truck the second thing they messed upon is that they don't even program you access code in when you pay for the unit you have to call customer service multiple times to get even in the storage unit you just rented also

Reserving unit is easy, just go online find a unit size and price that works for you. They don't mention the 1 x processing fee or insurance fee which would have been nice to know ahead of time, especially for anyone who hasn't rented a storage unit before. Staff is friendly. At this location the phones were down for several days and their internet connection is not good so it takes time just waiting. Otherwise all good.

UPDATE: IM still here cuz I can't afford to move. to OWNER, I just saw your comment. i will do that now. i don't want to pay insurance anymore! ...I went with cubesmart because after researching several places, they run about $10 less than other places... when i got there i was told they reqruire me to buy insurance for $12 EVERY MONTH!! Well, my friend waited oitside with his truck full of my stuff so i got the unit. When i called the next day, the mgr told me the insurance is required by law. What statute, i asked. He said hed get back yo me. He never has, that eas in March. Im moving as soon as possible. The clerk was rude. He drove me in the golf cart to see the unit, splashong through puddles, rippin around corners. I almost fell out.

These guys are AWESOME! The management team of Regina and Haleigh couldn't be better to work with. They are both VERY professional, helpful and flexible. I just moved things into 2 of their units, over the weekend. So far we have ZERO complaints. They are just great to work with and I highly recommend them.

They are nice enough. But the prices increase every year. Yet they never offer anything new. I started paying $39 a month for a 5x10. 3 yrs later. I'm paying $77 a month. Never missed a payment. Not happy. And read any contract carefully because they will try to scam you. They lied about info on my contract. Do yourself good and go somewhere else.

We were asked to give the storage unit key to the manager so that they could do some repairs on my wife's mothers storage unit that she had been paying on for 4 years. 6 months later my mother in law died. We asked for the key back so that we could clean out the unit. The manager said that we needed a Death Certificate and a birth certificate for my wife. He then added that birth certificated could be faked and that was a concern for him, and that he would have to consult with his attorney and call us back . After not hearing from him we brought in the Death Certificate and birth certificate the next day. He told us that his lawyer told him that we would need a court order. I am a 100% disabled Veteran with two purple hearts. Needless to say this unfair treatment and stress was a trigger for my PTSD. I told him that my wife's brother is on his way from his home in Las Vegas to help clean out the storage unit, and we we don't have time to get a court order and that we need the key now! He asked me to leave the premises. I told him I wasn't going any where with out the key to our unit. He called the police and told them that he needed an officer to escort me off the property. While waiting for the police another employee on his 2nd day on the job, asked my wife if she had a trust from her mother and indeed she did. The manager said that he would have to check with his boss. We left and came back with the trust deed. We waited hours for him to fax all the trust paper work to his boss. We finally were given the key. We waited for my wife's brother to finally open the door to the unit. The first thing out of his mouth was "where is the 4 boxes of new tools that were stacked by the door?" It became quit obvious to us why this manager did not want us to get the key to our unit. I wanted to call the police to report our stolen tools most likely stolen by this manager, but my wife and brother in law did not want to deal with more stress. You see the storage unit belonging to my deceased mother in law had none of her stuff it was full of her son's stuff who was in the hospital dying from Parkenson/Lewy Body Disease. We came back the next day with family members to help clean out the storage unit. This manager kept coming to our unit harassing us. I told him that he has caused way to much stress for my wife and that he needed to stay away from us and not talk to my wife or I was going to call the police for harassment. What a night mare. So if you need a storage unit and you don't really care if they steal your stuff and if you like to be harassed over and over by a power hungry little idiot, then by all means this is the place for you!

Reserved on line. Came in the next day everything was ready for us we signed bought a lock and were done in no time. Had visited several other storage places but none were as high a quality as your establishment.
