It's fine for what it is, but make sure it's only a short term rental because their price increases are huge each time. Over the course of 2 years we went from ~$140/month to $230/month, which is why we cancelled.

Started off great. But after 6 weeks of renting the space (in the heat of the summer), the power was turned off in our climate controlled unit. No lights, no cooling. Yoga mats melted a bit. Our cheaper storage bins melted a bit. No response at all from the customer service. Even after we said we were moving out.

We had 3 units rented over the last year: one climate controlled and the others not. All units were clean and water tight, though one unit near the entrance had its share of water and tiny gravel splashed against the door from all travel into the facility. The staff was helpful, polite, and answered all of our questions from Day 1 until check out. I would highly recommend this facility for courteous front office staff and ease of entry at all hours. Good experience.

Price does not match the quality of the unit. Humidity and water in the unit damaged many of my boxes causing that many of the belongings in them got damage by the pressure of other boxes on top. Lots of dirt got in every time we opened the door. Rent always going up and the quality was always going down. Sorry but I can recommend this place. The people who work there are nice but they are not the problem. The facility is in need of a makeover.

There’s no comparison to my one other storage experience. While customer service on their toll-free number has been pleasant and helpful, the complete opposite has been true for the on-site customer service. 2 out of the 3 employees that I’ve dealt with face-to-face have provided bad customer service, one being obnoxiously rude. Have never been able to reach the office by phone and only once has someone been in the office when I’ve pulled on the door (it was shortly before closing). The admin fee is absurd, as is “their” lock (no thanks), and insurance (I already had better coverage). Called to inquire about moving into a smaller unit, only to be told I’d still be paying the full month on the one I’m moving out of, in addition to the one I’d be moving into. You think doing that makes you money (rhetorical)? NOT! So now, I’ll be there the full 30 days and then I’ll be moving to another storage facility that is NOT a CubeSmart. They have a different idea about customer service, than I do.Their asphalt has way too many potholes and one-to-many metal fixtures protruding from it. Nothing to keep the door open. No signage. (It won’t let me post the pic of the dead bugs.) Bottom line; NOT worth the cost!

There's only a piece of flimsy corrugated metal separating each unit and the insurance they force you to buy covers very little. CubeSmart makes you sign a document stating that they are not responsible for any damage that occurs. There was only an empty light socket. I had to furnish my own light bulb.

I've used this facility for over a year now and up until this year I was happy. For months now I've had to call to make payments instead of making them online because they said they were switching systems and were working out a few bugs. This has went on for months now and it still isn't fixed. I was told two months ago by management the problem was fixed and it was a lie. The same problem is still existing and nothing has been done about it. I called customer service when it first began and they couldn't help me because they said it had to do with this particular storage facility. Its frustrating having to go through this. Because of my work schedule it is much easier to pay online than to have to call them up every month.

I have been using this storage facility off and on for about ten years. My experience has always been wonderful. The staff are very helpful as well as caring. The grounds are well maintained and I've never had problem getting into my unit. I highly recommend this CubeSmart Self Storage location. Great job to the general manager, Cindy Barbare.

We received excellent customer service at this facility. It was our first time storing our belongings at a storage facility. Connie and Cindy made it easy. They were both extremely helpful, friendly and made follow up phone calls. We would definitely store here again and recommend our friends do, too.

I was in my car waiting to make a payment. Cindy allowed me to come into the office to make a payment earlier. She went out of her way to help me. Jazmyn assisted me taking my payment. I have been doing business wit them since Aug. and I have never had a issue. I would recommend if you live in the Culpeper area this is where you want to go.

The Staff at this location are extremely helpful and friendly! I am always greeted by Jasmine and Connie at the front desk whenever I go in to rent Penske trucks. The location is always kept clean and when I go to my storage unit I always see Joey on the lot making sure that things are in an orderly manner. I would recommend this location for your storage and Penske rental needs!

I went to the cubesmart in Culpeper looking for a new storage place. When I walked in the staff was very friendly and ready to help. Jazmyn the manager on duty was very helpful and knowledgeable of the pricing and everything I needed to know about renting a cube. I've been to other storage places and didn't have a good experience. I will be renting a cube from cubesmart in Culpeper as long as I need too. Thank you to the cubesmart staff!!!!

I must express what a positive experience I had when visiting the CubeSmart in Culpeper. Jazmine the manager on duty took the time to listen and work with me to make a miracle occur. I am very pleased with the customer service and overall assistance given by Jazmine. Running a business myself I would be honored to have such an employee whom was willing to assist her customers needs and direct them in what is best for them. Fellow Movers, and Storage Users, As a fellow Storage User who has moved and stored items numerous times in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Texas, and Connecticut, I can honestly tell you that the staff ( Cindy Barbare and Connie Critchfield) at CubeSmart at 791 Germanna Hwy, Culpeper, VA 22701 are the best, most helpful, professional, friendly and just good honest people in the Storage Business. They both deserve a Gold Star and Raise for their hard work on my and my Fiancee's behalf as far as we are concerned. I am in the process of moving my 4 Bedrooms (for 5 Grandchildren), Living Room, Family Room, Dining Room, Office, and Garage full of belongings from the Richmond, Virginia area to the Central Virginia area. I have rented 3 10' X 20' storage areas from CubeSmart at an excellent competitive price at a facility that is surrounded by security fence, combination lock entrance, and security cameras on 24 hours a day. All three storage areas were clean, neat, in fine condition with good working locking mechanisms. The process of obtaining the 3 storage areas was very professionally handled by Connie Critchfield with Cindy Barbare's Management and assistance. Connie and Cindy went beyond the norm by taking me to the different sites, and allowing me to choose the right ones for me and my Fiancee, at least in my mind. Initially I chose the wrong ones for the type of storage we needed. However, as Fiances' are want to do, I was summarily straightened out on the correct ones to rent. There are cost effective storage facilities, and there are practical storage facilities based on specific needs of the folks doing the storing of their personal belongings and valuables. Connie and Cindy were very understanding on the need to switch for more appropriate storage based on my Fiancee's requirements, and their off site Management agreed. The switch to the current 3 sites that we now have went very smoothly before we ever arrived with my belongings. Connie even came around a few times on her electric Cart to make sure we got moved in OK on a Sunday, and sold us some plastic mattress and box spring covers to protect them from damage and soiling. And, Connie was very friendly and personable with my Fiancee as we loaded the first of the 3 storage areas. I would definitely recommend anyone storing precious belongings in the Central and Northern Virginia area to consider the Five Star CubeSmart in Culpeper, Virginia, and ask for Connie Critchfield, or Cindy Barbare to assist you. First I would like to compliment Cindy on her professionalism and courtesy. She made a stressful situation a lot better for me. Penske had a little mishap with me where they didn't have a truck available and didn't tell me this until 20 minutes before my pick up time. We got the situation sorted out it did cost me about 2 hours extra of the day and one of my workers had to leave the job early because of this but it ended up working out in the long run where they honored their mistake. Cindy was there every step of the way and helped out the best she could. I would definitely recommend Cube smart to anyone who is in need of storage and look for Cindy!

It was last minute, on a Saturday that I needed a storage unit set up for my vehicle to be delivered early the next week while I was out of town... The General Manager Cindy Barbare went the extra mile and stayed late just to have everything set up and ready for me. She could have easily turned me away seeing as I showed up 5 min. before she closed down but she didn't. She took her time and walked me through everything like it was the first transaction of the day, Im thankful and I would recommend site 6533 to anyone looking for storage and amazing customer service.
