When I went to this place I was greeted by the most welcoming store manager Mr. Sujah. He answered all my questions and provided all the details. Mr. Sujah is very welcoming and helpful. Past 2 days I had difficulties with the lock and door, every time he was available and helped us. This place also feels safe since there are many shops around this place and crowded all the time. Mr. Sujah is extremely patient and nice. I give my full 5 star recommendation to this place.

It was frustrating at times, because while it was a nice location and very convenient, there was a group of Asian folks using the entire loading dock every single day for their Amazon drop-shipping station and would take up the entire space for themselves. They would also leave the loading bay doors open in order to get a breeze in there while working which completely defeated the purpose of having a climate-controlled location. My locker was near the loading bay, so I was also suffering because of that. I brought it to management's attention MULTIPLE times, and nothing was done - they just didn't care enough to keep on them and require them to stop, so I eventually stopped mentioning it. Mgmt said that they couldn't get them to stop because of a language issue, but I find that hard to believe, because they knew how to communicate just fine when me when I spoke with them when I was there. I knew I wasn't going to be a long-term tenant, so I stopped caring. But what about everybody else? Their bills are going to go up, because the energy bills are probably astronomical... but that's not my problem anymore. **UPDATE** As you can see, they responded and asked for my contact information so that they could "have someone from our team reach out" which I did. It's been over a month since I provided my information, yet no one has contacted me which, in my opinion, shows that they're STILL not interested in resolving the issue(s). Buyer beware.

I had a great experience with the Gallows Road CubeSmart. The manager showed me options, and opened up several cubes for me to see what to expect. It looks like good construction, with good airflow, and the access is very good as well. After reviewing the options and availability, I was able to place a reservation to hold the Cube I wanted . The on-line system worked for me the second time I used it, and the GM helped guide me through it. I was able to print the contract, so all is well. I would definitely use CubeSmart again, and recommend it to others.

The constant rate increase is very frustrating. The price CubeSmart charge was based on THEIR vacancy and it’s impossible to get a better rate after being there for 6/7 years. We were better off moving units every couple of months but that’s extremely inconvenient. As a business who puts the financial burden on their customers for not doing well is a quick way to continue loosing business. There’s a difference between a market increase due to the rising costs and raising your prices to close a financial gap. Additionally, allowing restaurant owners to store food in their units created a horrible rat problem. We were smart enough to pre-plan and kept all of our belongings in plastic totes or sealed bags so nothing was ruined. It’s just completely unsanitary to have cleaned SO much feces everywhere. Don’t bother trying to develop a relationship with the manager because it’s a revolving door… they had at least 5 or 6 different owner/ managers you couldn’t keep up. There are better storage companies, most don’t let customers store food to prevent any pest problems and others are better lit throughout the facility.

Today I rode my bike to this area, and left it in this area without knowing the restriction (my bad). After returning from shopping, I found out that my bike was missing, and could not find it elsewhere. I lost my hope already, but decided to give a last try by going to stores nearby to ask for help. That's how I met Daniel J. Kellogg. It's almost closing hour for him. Even though I am not his customer, he took his time to listen to me, and walk me around to look for the bike. Like a miracle, I found out my bike in a bush while he walk me through an alley! I could never find it by myself under such stress if Daniel didn't extend personal help, and think of all possibilities for me. I feel very grateful for Daniel's help, and believe that Daniel is a very warm-hearted, trustworthy person!

Tim, the General Manager at this location was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with! It was my first time getting a storage unit so he answered my questions and got me going. If you've never gotten a cube from here, or somewhere else, considering they probably all operate the same way.. Here's some things to keep in mind: I got half off my first month, however i think was really just to make way for the $24 Admin fee they charge to start the account. They also require you to have insurance on the unit which they can instantly get you at the time of signing but its really expensive, for the lowest valued plan of $2,000 it was $13 a month extra.. I wonder if they allow you to get insurance from a 3rd party because i only spend $9 a month for renters insurance that covers a lot more than $2,000?... Anyways, i was in a rush so i didn't care. You'll also need a lock for the unit which they have at the store for $17 but you can probably get that lock at Home Depot for less. I was kind of caught off guard by the extra fees which wasn't something the person i spoke to on the phone mentioned to me before i went in. They had left me assuming i only had to pay for cubes rent and lock. Nevertheless, all storage centers probably all do this so its not a big deal, and Tim was great!

Seriously Cube Smart, you're throwing a bait and switch on me? I reserved a 5x10 unit for $108 and Manager Daniel said he could do better at $87. He asked me to cancel the old reservation and create a new one. But the new rate is $97. Daniel said that's the best he could do and couldn't override the system. He would not escalate this to management and used phrases "it is what it is" and "you could go with another storage company". I asked if he was willing to lose a customer and risk getting a negative review and Daniel's response was " do what you want and we have no problems getting customers". What?!?! What kind of business are you running? I'm livid! I will write this review on your Twitter and Facebook pages.

Everything went great and then I took a smaller unit to store some things I couldn't take until a year later. It was easy access, clean, and secure. Plus the staff is helpful and friendly. I could recommend CubeSmart to all my friends.

Excellent customer service. Daniel is professional, conscientious and worked hard to meet our needs. Recommend Update: August 2019 Excellent customer service. We have two units at this facility and with a complicated move, and a rush request, we were grateful for Daniel Kellogg’s (store manager I believe) refreshingly exceptional customer service, On two occasions, while waiting turn in line, I overheard Daniel skillfully and respectfully respond to a challenging situation with a customer. When it was my turn, he said, " I'm sorry about that [the long wait] but they were not satisfied and I really needed to take care of it and try to help them out". He has continued to solve challenges, help us add storage space, find a unit that would work for our containers, or gather carts. I am using crutches and a wheel chair and his support of differently abled individuals was skillful as well. While in the middle of another seemingly urgent task, he walked over to press the button on the bay door so that I could more easily manage the cart and crutches, or another time offering a cart with better wheels proactively. We are moving and we're intending to transfer our storage to a unit 30 min closer, however at the last minute decided to pay the slightly higher cost, and drive further purely because we know that our needs will be supported and we will have great customer service. We would definitely recommend working with Daniel Kellogg at the Falls Church, Va Cubesmart.

Do not store your stuff in here. The rats they feed will chew everything and destroy your stuff and the insurance they make you take with unit does not cover damage of this sort. They will lie to you and say all damage is covered. Wow just had my engagement box chewed to pieces..

The customer service (Kevin and Daniel) is great here. 5 stars for customer service. This is an old warehouse style facility that will be torn down in a couple of years for mosaic district expansion. Horrible lighting (light bulbs are far away on a high celling and maybe half are burned out) and limited climate control. The front bay was not working for months but was fixed the day we moved out. Try one of their newer facilities; try a newer one like Arlington (EFC) or Shirlington.

This is an affordable option in the Falls Church area. It is a clean facility and the space is perfect. The manager, Kevin Boylen, was extremely professional, informative and helpful. He was incredibly nice and even handed me a bottle of water after I moved in on a HOT day! Two thumbs up!

Kevin, the office manager, understands and provides top notch customer service. Cubesmart is much better than their prime competitor. I highly recommend using Cubesmart if you need temporary storage. It's extremely clean, dolly's are in abundance, and it's very accessible.

This place raises their rates annually, and are not competitive in regards to their pricing, and do not intend to be. Rate increases are more an opportunity to increase profit margins than to offset tangible costs incurred by the facility. They are very aware of the inconvenience of having to move your items to a competitive facility, and raise their rates every year, not because of any additional overhead costs, but simply because they can. Don't be fooled by their "Same Space, Same Price" mantra, where is the price the same? Also, their “convenience fee” for paying online is also just another money grab on their part and out of touch with industry standards, but given the above, no surprise. Get it any way you can. Right? Newsflash – the convenience is theirs, not yours. If you mail a check to them postmarked the first day of the month and then it's received and cashed up to 10 days later, that would create a far greater inconvenience for them, not you. In closing, I have no Axe to grind, I simply have to warn you - they WILL raise their rates, the rates WILL BE non-competitive in today's market, and they will do nothing when this is brought to their attention. Personnel-wise, they're good people, but have to justify their corporation's opportunist fiscal behavior. I hope they enjoyed the 5 years of rental - I just paid the final month I will be there. Which reminds me - no pro-rating partial months - if you're in there on the second day of the month, the full month is due and payable. Again, no surprise - very opportunist corporation. You've been warned.

Read Kevin's good reviews, and Rented CubeSmart unit last month, Kevin nice and helpful. Today went in to pay unit invoice. I asked billing question and Kevin became extremely argumentative, rude, and antagonistic. I was taken aback, dismayed! I don't believe he would have behaved this way had I sent son to pay invoice and ask billing question. I could not believe the personality change! Beware! 'Will be speaking with HQ, soonest.

It was a bit busy when my wife and I got there, but it was only a 20 minute wait. I think that's pretty good, considering Kevin was the only one on duty. Once he got to us it was smooth sailing. We got an inside unit, which is listed as climate controlled. I've never rented storage before, so am unsure what the industry standard is for that. I had expected air-conditioned, like a house. This was not the case and it was hot to me. However several fans kept it from being oppressively so. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place. Kevin has a great attitude and a winning personality.

Kevin Boylen truly goes beyond the call in customer service even when we were worried about going over our space and needed a additional cube Kevin offered to stay another hour and half to ensure we got that additional space and that we are happy. We have had a storage unit with CubeSmart Falls Church for almost two years now. The facility has always provided great service and the location is great.
