Initially this was a good option for storage. They have a box truck you can borrow for free to help get you moved in and the price was fair. But the door to my unit was hard to operate and the rubber gasket on the bottom was trashed. No rain would get in, thanks to the aggressive slope of the asphalt, but all the dust in the world blew inside. For the past year or more, the lightbulb inside my unit, which is outside the tenants reach, has been burned out. I tried several times to notify the office on my way out but it seems to be rarely staffed. There is often a sign on the door saying “be back at (time)” and I kept missing them. Then the monthly price increased a few times until I couldn’t stomach it anymore. I found a unit with a different company closer to my house that’s both climate controlled AND cheaper. So yeah, I moved there instead.

I've always had a good experience even when things were bad. Any problems were promptly taken care of. The staff is always super friendly, I have never experienced someone having a "bad day". Would continue to use them but we moved 200 miles away.

I would give 0 stars if possible. The "free truck" encouraged me to rent a storage unit from these guys despite the multiple reviews of people stating they raise your rates which is very true too. I gave the store a $100 cash deposit and was told to return the truck by 6pm. I arrived at the facility at 545 and asked the store manager if he could check the truck in now? He said "go unload it first, I will be here for a while anyway". After unloading I return to the office at 615. The manager inspected the truck and said "everything looks fine but you know I have to keep your $100". Stay far away from this SCAM business. Update: Cubesmart reached out to me after posting this review and credited the money back to my storage account.

Amazing customer service! The very sweet lady and super nice man showed excellent professionalism and checked me into my new 10x10 storage unit with a military discount and everything! Thank you. And hats off to the CubeSmart business for providing an opportunity to rent a 14 foot moving truck through them at the property for an extremely low cost ($10)!!! Such a huge help for customers!!! The facility is clean and climate-controlled. The gate always works. We had easy access to our storage area near parking and also near the door. We rarely encountered other people, so access was not a problem. The space was ample and the items we stored were in good condition after 2 years.

Do not rent any unit at the Manassas location. Their units are packed with mice. We had our stuff there for 3 months and pretty much all the boxed were run by mice and had to get rid of all dry goods.

1st of all, the rate increased several times during our 8 month rental period. We were never late on anything and rented 2 units from them spending almost $500 a month. When we moved out were told the "free moving truck" they offered was not free to us. We were told that was for new clients. We were never told about the truck when we signed up so apparently missed the opportunity to use it. I think it's ridiculous to charge for the truck to people who have been good clients for 8 months. What else...our moving day had to be postponed by one day. We were told if we stayed one extra day that we would have to pay for the entire month! So we hired movers and moved out on the original move date. When my fiance went inside to RENT the "free" truck, there was a sign on the door saying they would return at 11:15am which was in a half hour. Not only did we have a reservation for the truck but now we had to waste paying 4 movers for a half hour of waiting on the office person to return. When we returned the truck, there was ANOTHER sign on the door saying that the person would return in another 20 mins. So I was not impressed at all with Cube storage and would not recommend to others. You get nickled and dimed.

My husband and I rented a unit in the 1100s about a month ago and I'm already regretting it. This place is the worst. I saw three dead roaches on the floor two weeks ago when I moved some stuff into my unit. Came back the next week (last week) and the roaches were still there. The staff obviously doesn't clean the place. The intercoms to the office don't work (I tried 3 separate units.) There are NEVER carts around to use. I've had to carry my heavy items into my unit after looking up and down the building for carts. I called last week letting the office know I'd be coming by and would need a cart. The girl in the office said she'd have one sent down to my area. I got there and SHOCKER, there was no cart to be found. I gave up looking and trying to call the office on the intercom, and just carried my stuff in, hurting my back in the process. This place is run by incompetent clowns and I'll be moving my stuff out ASAP.

The price was really nice...BUUUUT....after a whirlwind online registration process (super easy to reserve a place), when we got there we were somewhat disappointed. I haven't rented a storage space before myself, so I was quite unprepared for the shadier side of the process. We were told that we HAD to pay for insurance...either theirs or our own homeowners insurance. Of course we have a truck and two vans ready to unload so I had to go with their $14-15 insurance. Then we were told we would pay an additional $1/month "Administration fee"...plus we HAD to have a lock ($17.95 approximately). All in all, I felt this was a pretty shoddy way to run a facility. The check-in people said this was on their main website page. I doubted them, went home, and sure enough, no hidden fees were discussed, presented, or even hinted at. I know better now---shame on me---let the buyer beware! But maybe other people can learn from these kinds of operations. For the record, the staff was polite, courteous, professional and the facilities were clean. Door sticks a bit on the unit, but, go figure.

I would like to recognize Odessey and the customer service that she provided. You can tell that she cares very much for her customers. We had an easy time moving into this storage unit. The office manager Mia was quick at setting everything up for us while multitasking calls and other customers. I really appreciated that she took the time to walk and show us where our unit was located. On top of that she was very friendly to us and my four year old daughter. After we left the location we realized there was some confusion with the advertised online rent rate. I called customer care since the reservation was handled online and not in store. I was pleased that Mia followed up with us from the CubeSmart location to help us rectify the matter. She truly cares about her customers and we are pleased with our service. Thank you! Pariesce was very helpful and knowledgeable about the service. The storage facility was just as advertised. I didn't see any carts. Everything went fine. Staff were fast, professional and courteous. Free loaner truck was a plus too! However, truck ramp was a little bent/ damaged so it wouldn't slide out of it's storage slot on the truck!. It wasnt much of an issue to me, (just boxes and relatively light wieght boxes and shelves, but might be to others moving appliances that actually needed it to function!) Returning the next day with a loaded station wagon, I couldn't drive to my storage unit to unload it because they were sealing the asphalt for the complex. Highly aggravating! I had to use an on-site cart to unload everything to my unit which of course was 3/4 of the way down my access lane! Thank God it wasn't too hot, cold, raining or snowing! Some sort of notice should be sent via text or e-mail to clients regarding maintenance issues which may cause inconveniences when these necessary maintenance issues arise so we can plan accordingly! Thank you for this opportunity to vent my opinions, fustration, and suggestions for a better experience with CubeSmart!
