The great rate I got was not promotional, so I thought I got a great deal. What they don’t say is that they are allowed to increase your rate at any time as much as they want. When you ask when did they notify you of this 40% rate hike after just 9 months, they say they emailed you and mailed a postcard. Later, when you tell them you could not find either, they say they didn’t send a email just a post. After another search of the mail pile, still nothing. When you ask why they increased their rate, they say “inflation”. When you ask them to see if they can reduce this hike, they say call back to talk to the manager who says they’ll get back to you after they talk to the regional manager. Ultimately they say….”sorry, you asked too late.” My experience is not unique. Search on google: “CubeSmart accused of overcharging customers. Self-storage customers have filed a class-action lawsuit against CubeSmart, alleging that they were charged excessive fees for storage space. The company is facing allegations of deceptive and misleading business practices. May 1, 2023.” If you don’t want to be gouged, find another storage facility. There are many in the Camas / Vancouver area.

It's very clean. My only issues are the front gate, doors, and the code. It's VERY close to the units, making it very difficult if you have a trailer. The automatic doors can't be propped open, so when you're making several trips, you have to use an 8 digit code every single time. While I appreciate the security, it's a bit much.

Raised rates over 25% after being there a year. Manager didn’t return 3 calls or my emails. Had to call main service to get him to call me back. They say it’s too late to help me…wanted to stay at least 5 years but not interred in keeping me as a customer. I did call the manager and they don’t return calls…. I would avoid. I know rates go up but they won’t respond to you if you leave messages or emails.

This place is money Hungary scam artist. We got behind because of being in a bad spot in life after spending 600 to get into the place. Less then 3 months later they sold everything we own. Even after letting them know we will have the money the day of the auction they went forward and sent us a bill for several hundred dollars Do not use this storage they will over price you until you lose everything!!!

The staff (Andrew Rosales) in the main office was really great to work with, they walked me out to the available unit, showed me around the complex and gave me the prices and details. I was able to go home and when I made the decision I was able to go online and reserve the unit and enter all the info on the application. This place sucks. Was here for two years, told I’d get a refund if I moved out by a certain date and made the move out in one day thinking I’d get a refund and they totally screwed me. Instead they charged me and have made it extremely difficult to resolve. Don’t tell people if they rush out to move that you’ll refund them and not do it. I needed a storage unit while I worked out my living arrangements. The price is good, the units are fairly spacious, and the premises is well-kept. The staff is friendly (though I only needed them to open and close the unit). There's always hand sanitizer if you desire it, and there are carts available. It fit what I needed perfectly.

love the amazing customer service and high security. always a clean well maintained location. the two managers have always been extremely friendly and accommodating in my time here. always seeing new improvements each time i visit it’s like a surprise each time. it is kinda on the pricy side renting there but you definitely get your money’s worth in service and security. i was personally drawn in by how safe it is having all my belongings there and by the military discount. but the discount only applies to active duty members so if that is something that pertains to you it’s worth noting but unfortunately i’m just a vet and couldn’t receive the extra discounts. of course that alone wasn’t enough to change my mind from choosing their facility to be where i would keep my belongings. they take their job very seriously and do expect their tenants to follow the rules and don’t play games so to say as other storage facilities do so to say. especially when it comes to being off the grounds on time so if that might be a struggle for you to follow I would not suggest choosing this facility because that’s how they maintain their high security.

Aaron (tall) helped me in a HUGE way. My car was stored for 9 months (thought it would be only 2 originally). The battery was dead as a door knob & AAA said it was so dead they couldn’t keep it charged so I needed a trickle battery. Aaron helped me find a way to do this and gave me pointers. Also, one day I left my unit thinking it was locked, but the latch wasn’t quite set. The wind blew it up. They called me to tell me and ask me how they could help. Very professional and friendly staff. I’m glad they’re expanding because they’ll need the extra units to hold the referrals I’ll be sending them!??

The security gate opening and closing times was a problem . Able to enter my storage before closing but locked us in the storage exit gate. Called the numbers listed but no one responded to our call. Another customer also was locked inside the gate exit . We had to leave our cars inside their driveway overnight. The 24 hour access by the other customer was denied and also was locked in . Waited almost a hour before we got a ride home and no contact with local manager . Spoke to manager the next day the office opened . There was no empathy or apology. No credit for the inconvenience and lack of customer support. I hope no one will experience the nightmare my daughter and the other family experienced .

New storage area in Camas that is sorely needed. I've was a long-time renter it two other storage areas 6th Street Storage and Iron Guard Storage. CubeSmart customer service was head and shoulders better than the other two and Iron Guard on-site management was actually rude to where I felt I was imposing on them.

It's new, clean & great friendly staff. 15% off promotion & 1st month free now. but there's a $24.xx new acct admin fee (was a lttl surprised), $17.99+tax for the lock...etc = $55.xx to open & rent the 5x5 unit. Also, there is a Visa convenience fee if $1.95 for paying online ?? which is again unexpected

Currently I'm a new user to CubeSmart, but my initial impressions are that it's way better than the Public Storage location I used to use. CubeSmart is new, so everything is shiny and nice! Each entrance has two push carts available to ferry your belongings to/from storage. This is a huge plus for me! The staff member was was friendly and helpful when I showed up with my UHaul of stuff to move in the first day. I really like how clean this place is. Security feels ample, requiring codes to enter and exit the main facility as well as entering each door entrance. There are plenty of cameras around, so it makes me feel safe storing my extra belongings there. The price is right, the previous storage I was using got really expensive and raised my rates frequently. I'm hoping CubeSmart doesn't do that to me, but time will tell. So far I'm a happy customer!

Great customer service, new and extremely clean. Inside units are climate controlled, I think supposed to be between 60 and 80, but to me appeared air-conditioned, always the same temperature. I had to rent 2 units for my moving needs. They are very friendly, helping and flexible about move-in, move-out. I would rent again if I need.

Secured and VERY clean--from their store front, to their hallways, storage spaces, and their restrooms! Staff is very friendly and professional. They're really great about also going through and checking that you secured your storage space. My husband inadvertently didn't lock our storage space correctly a week ago so it was unlocked. Their manager promptly called my husband to inform him of this as well as ensured him he placed extra diligence in watching it via their security cameras until he came back and locked it securely. I'm sOoOo glad my husband discovered this place!

The indoor units were clean (no weird smells), the employees were always helpful even offering us cold bottled water when we were moving in and out! The Manager was very nice and accommodating. Great customer service! I would highly recommend them. I have utilized Public Storage and U-Haul Storage in the past 6 months in Vancouver. Public Storage people are always grumpy andU-Haul storage employees are indifferent and too busy running around to efficiently help customers. Cube smart is now my go to!

A well organized and VERY responsive staff at last! I've have been renting two 10' x 20' storage lockers.at the Camas CubeSmart for the past 8 months. The grounds and storage lockers are perfect. I've never seen better. The office staff, however, constantly presented me with confusing changes to the billing amount, and keeping the billing date the same for both lockers was a continuous challenge. I began looking for a new storage locker company. On April 14th, all of that changed. Jenn Cranmore arrived... and the confusion and disarray turned to discipline and structure. Jenn had no idea of the chaotic office staff that preceded her. We spent a day or two sorting everything out, Jenn came up with a billing solution, and I am convinced that, under Jenn's management, GM 5097 will be a pleasure to work with. She is very effective at understanding an issue, and coming up with solutions that are good for both customer and company!

I am a Flight Attendant, currently furloughed due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. When the pandemic first started, I was based in Seattle, Washington, but I commuted to my home in South Texas when I was not flying/working. Long story short, after our country shut down, I was immediately sent home to South Texas. Since March, I remain furloughed. I have been unable to return to the Pacific Northwest to gather my belongings, then transport said belongings to my home in South Texas, all due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. I was becoming increasingly concerned about my personal belongings left behind, even though a small amount. Enter CubeSmart Self Storage and Baylie at the Camas, Washington location! I was able to obtain a storage unit, sign my storage agreement, assign someone to move my belongings into said unit, and that was it! SO EASY! I now have the comfort and peace of mind, knowing that my belongings are now kept safe, which are now stored securely until I can return to Washington State and retrieve those belongings! I highly recommend this facility for anyone who may need a storage facility, no matter the size. Baylie, my contact at the Camas, Washington location, has been AMAZING. In my opinion, she is an asset to the CubeSmart Self Storage Corporation! Many could and should learn from her customer service expertise! THANK YOU CubeSmart and THANK YOU Baylie!

This place is amazing! Such friendly staff, the storage are huge and for affordable prices. Customer service is also amazing. I would highly recommend this place. So glad we changed from our other storage. In the storages they have a small light that’s actually pretty bright to see into your unit. The staff is always checking on you to make sure you’re doing good. Easy bathroom access, one way in, one way out. Security is amazing here. Victor gave us an amazing introduction. Not only was he funny, kind, he was very informative and helped us select the best storage for us.

Victor the onsite manager is GREAT. Unfortunately the property (while I rented in March/April 2020) lacked a complete fence around the property. There are gaps in the fence on both sides of the main in/out vehicle gates. Paying for secure storage should include a fence with no gaps in it. The investors behind the property apparently care more about collecting rent than finishing their project. While the first month is free, you are still hit with plenty of admin fees and mandatory insurance which aren't disclosed prior. All-in-all, a clean and friendly place to store stuff that you can check out after hours without an appointment -- just walk right in!
